They're shutting everything else down so it seems inevitable. Are they doing anything different at the casinos these day's? Cleaning chips, making people wash hands like on a cruise ship etc. I see it hasn't affected the games yet in terms of numbers. I'm personally staying away, but I don't pay as much as I used to. I think things are gonna escalate quickly. They are stressing social distancing to slow this down. Poker seems the opposite of social distancing.

Yeah, I was getting ready for my 2nd appearance in 2020 in a card room sometime in March, and now I have no desire to go until this all dies down. No reason to take extra risks now that the schools are going to be closed and I'll be working from home more frequently.

Canterbury has markedly fewer games and there are still fewer than 20 reported cases in the state, all of which are people who have traveled recently.

They sent out an email yesterday saying they doubled the number of hand sanitizing stations; increase cleaning of gaming surfaces, rails, chairs, etc.; increasing the frequency of new decks; and making it easier for employees to call in sick. No cleaning of chips. None of that seems to address the inherent problem with having folks in close proximity to one another for so long.

Live poker just seems like a bad idea right now.

+1 about live poker being bad idea now.

Optimistically hoping one time exception of online poker boom if all live regs / recs transition to online during Corona.

In reality, I hope my friends took my reccomendation to learn how to use a Solver and/or just start playing online poker again

I'm buried at work and have 0 time for poker but is there a tier list for Solvers?

PS: I only know Monker, Pio, and Snowie fyi and have made 0 attempt to learn it or use it per this phenomenal market

I started playing full time so I could set my own hours... so much for that.

I am surprise people don't load more on Bodog/Bovada. So many games atm getting up to 4 table at once. With no live casino or sport betting. People are going to be craving for some type of gambling.

Congratulations DonJuan!

Looks like more dollars per hour in long run if able to 4 table online

Serious question, profitable to go over 4 tables at once in LHE only or only if it involves multiple 9max full games?

Per expert online prop masters back when 100% rakeback was available on Cereus, think they went 6+ tables. I personally preferred 4 ideally with 1 HUHU but I played bad and still play atrocious

The first weekend that casinos re-open, do we think games will be amazing (players chomping at bit to play again, no "poker hospital" from recent losses, etc) or terrible (stock market losses hurt player pool, SMBs that players own do poorly/require more attention)?

Games should be amazing when casinos reopen. However, certain ones not closed per epic 15 game mix 100/200 @ Horeshoe in Hammond, Indiana.

In theory, people probably shouldn't goto casinos until vaccine found.

However, vaccine seems promising per:

Bloomberg: 03/17/2020 Five Things to Start Day Asia Edition "A Potential Vaccine" as subject line of email.

Additionally, link to $1 test in 10min being ready per Monogic Ltd. ready by June 2020

In regards to Markets, traders that profited via Tesla shorts, SQQQ day trades, VXX, etc I'm sure are gamblers by nature and would prefer to invest / run it up at Live Poker when able to.

Especially at Commerce

Thoughts on SQQQ or LAKE / GILD stinkypete or quantph?

VERY OT not that reliable source since I prefer Bloomberg.

NOTE: No mention of LAKE anywhere. My friend from China living in US got it around 11 2 weeks ago and I mistakenly figured unsuitable in lieu of GILD.

NOTE 2: Hope all of you take profit during Black Swan period one way or another..
You gotta have some pretty big brass ones to invest in SQQQ now, I'm keeping my powder dry for a bit, let the pros have their fun now.

I would invest in this company if I could (engineers FTW!): https://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-talk/...terilizer-news

In poker news, the Boulder home game is on hiatus, so I was wondering if there's an online solution that anybody has worked on. I know there is software out there to host NLHE, is there a good packge to use? A package that ran mixed limit games would be ideal if such a thing exists. Or how about setting up a home game on PokerStars (play money where we settle up offline)? Could we choose our own mix? Any suggestions welcome.

Stay healthy everyone!

Thank you very much for this Quantph!

SQQQ trading was optimistic goal I had which I argue I can do well but rebalanced my Roth 401k to 60% growth funds, 20% balanced funds w bonds, 20% bond funstead via what was available.

However, Fidelity kinda blows so hopefully Brokerage Link enables what you Reccomended Quantph

Regarding online, I'd encourage PMing BigBadBear and/or DonJuan who probably has most information currently possible online

I here Talking Stick casino is closed. Wasn't it this time last year they were shut down because of flooding?
03-18-2020 , 02:33 PM
It was August 2018.

Anyone winning in Bodog 30/60 this year? Obviously asking because I'm not, lol. For my sanity, would be good to hear about some of you having success there. TIA.
03-21-2020 , 11:06 PM
DonJuan may have literally taken all of the money.
03-22-2020 , 07:10 PM
Pretty unlikely DonJuan has been taking all the money lately. I assume he's the one 4 tabling me on Bodog/Ignition lately and it's not going well for him. At least since his style has changed a bit along with him not looking to button me in any way possible I now don't think that he's Hoopdreams/VegasVixen/Luckypuppy1/Blindsight/MisterScoopU. That guy was prob the one doing most of the buttoning of him and he won't even sit people hu at Bodog/Ignition anymore if he sees me online. Since they were both solverish players that both chat similarly, I thought they were prob the same guy despite DonJuan's denials. Chat consists of telling me I've buttoned them after playing 121 hands match where I have 61 buttons and them telling me how great they are at poker.

I'm sure this post will elicit another heads-up challenge from DonJuan. Of course he's done it twice before and I can post the PM's if he'd like where he challenges me, I accept and he never responds again. Maybe his crushing in December while I wasn't playing will cause him to have the confidence to finally accept his own challenges. Anyway, I'm there every day so no need to challenge me and then back down. Just sit and play.

I am actually kind of depress atm. Before this coronavirus I was enjoying driving 1.5 hour back and forth 3 times a week to play at casino. Nothing beat the adrenaline of driving home at 3 am in the morning after an 12 hour session. The saddest part is that I don't get to listen to mourning of AA getting cracked by flush draw+straight draw combos. Now everyone is stuck at home and I only get to play against the same group of people only 4x as many hands per table with all my pre flop charts up and years of online experience multi tabling. JESUS this get me so MAD at how shitty this whole situation is.

What's the first rule of fight club? Now that you mention that preflop charts exist, the games get worse.
03-23-2020 , 01:13 PM
Weird that you post just your PM's and not my responses or the months in between me accepting and you not responding. I guess this old guy gonna have to figure out how to post a screenshot with all the messages.

You really need charts for pre-flop? Crazy you're so cocky when all you did is memorize stuff a computer program told you to do instead of understanding actual poker theory to know why it's doing what its doing.
