I threebet 7th street in super stud the other day with Jacks full because I have no idea what I am doing and was called by kings full and won because the guy had 5 down cards.

This is a mix game at Talking Stick?

They have a very regular 20/40 BigO/Superstud game. But it is also a possible choice for the 40/80 mix as well.
01-15-2019 , 08:19 PM
Just curious, how many people do they seat in the 20/40 game? How often do thy run out of cards and have to use a community card?
01-15-2019 , 08:49 PM
On average the run. Out of cards every hand
01-16-2019 , 12:08 AM
Ha, how many hands per hour do you think?

I remember one time new dealer sat down and it was first hand of super stud (we play 7). I said I’ll be back ran to my car and drove to target, grabbed a few items out of the back of the store waited behind 2 people in line and got back just in time for a new dealer and another hand of super stud.

I know I can also make it to the grocery store for milk, to my house and back to the casino without missing any other games (although not always).

If I ever get bored at a poker table, I just rack up and leave.

One time *mid-hand* I just decided I don't feel like playing any more, I folded (probably would have folded even if I had not been bored), racked up, and went to a bookstore to read a poker book.

Recreational play FTW!

Superstud is the stud variation I least look forward to. You always run out of cards and I'd argue you're doing something very wrong if you're playing that game poorly. You get four down cards to start and get to pitch 2..
01-21-2019 , 12:57 AM
Some places play 3 down and pitch one if it’s 7 handed

5 down cards? He was dealt an extra one and then not only didn't notice that but didn't notice he had that many cards until the river? That's remarkable.
01-24-2019 , 12:05 PM
Don't you get a down card on 7th street?
01-25-2019 , 12:03 AM
Dude. You're right. I forgot about that one.
01-27-2019 , 04:06 AM
He was dealt 2 extra down cards, just like everyone else. He forgot to discard two of them.

By default, if you have Windows 7 or newer you can drag a window to the right or left edge of the screen to snap it into that half of the screen, so it's easy to get 2 windows that way. Then for 4 you only have to change their vertical size.

I played 1000/2000 on pokergo today and got pretty drunk if anyone feels like watching. I folded every hand

I saw your name posted in the Eli thread in NVG and was wondering if it was you

If people have time they should check out the thread it's the weirdest thing on the internet

Here is the link if people want to check it out

It actually starts in this thread.

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...hread-1734290/

It's an AMA Eli Elezra did after releasing a book 2+2 published. It comes out he owes a bunch of debts even though he lied and said he didn't

Wish people wouldn't use me as a way to sling mud at someone they dont even know. Looking forward to reading the book tomorrow, I love peoples poker life stories and I know Eli's is a unique one. I'm sure itll be a fun read.

Had a lot of fun on the show. Very few interesting hands for me, made 1 disastrous blunder. Gonna watch the whole session tonight when I get home. I held out forever on subscribing to pokergo but am really glad I did. Love all the cash game content I've watched

To be clear, I wasn’t “using your name to sling mud” I was describing exactly what happened (or at least what it appeared was happening on the show) to some of us who had a chuckle at the whole thing.

I know it’s private, but I would be interested in knowing what he wrote to you lol.

You played decent, can’t believe you folded that 2 pair in stud 8 (iirc) though. Fun to watch the mix games.

Yeah sorry, I didn't read what you actually linked to and kind of misunderstood what you said. Just feel bad to see a guy getting lit up online when he's been nothing but a gentleman to me and everyone I've seen him interact with in the time I've known him. I'm not familiar with the details of his financial agreements with other individuals and don't want to be. None of my business.

He wrote something like "I hope you enjoy my life story and poker journey. Looking forward to playing with you for years to come"

I played that stud 8 hand terribly, a very significant brain fart.

Haven't played mix since September or stud high since whenever the last time I played with Eli. Probably over a year ago. Didn't feel super rusty and felt fine about everything else I did there definitely was a little rust and that one hand was painful to live through immediately following the fold and still even now.

Enjoyed seeing you on the show.
Did Eli use to come out for the Gardens game or was your previous play with him at the Bellagio?
