First kickoff no touch back was +100 (aka EVEN).

But if you wanted first ne kickoff no touchback, or first phi kickoff no touch back, you had to lay odds.

Both are considerable mispricings.
How does a QB get attached to a kickoff?

this was fun to watch, i learned a thing or two.

i didnt realize how weaktight ali's commentary is when he isn't paired with schulman tho

there were definitely a lot of cepheus-approved peels that Ali did not approve of. it seemed like the entirety of threehanded was "I don't understand this call, shouldn't they know they are beat" and jeremy sorta shrugs but then offers a decent explanation.

my absolute favorite sequence was a hand where DD makes a sticky calldown with like K8 on T736 two flushdraws and Ali is like "??????"

then the very next hand the action goes DD raises OTB, ike flats sb, stevie 3bets KK, they both call. Flop TT3 check bet call call. turn 6 bringing FD and ali is like "If I were stevie with KK here I'd be a little worried seeing two callers" as if Ali didn't just witness everyone peeling super light and KK isn't the nuts here (but DD had trips lmao). fortunately Jeremy corrects him and is like dude they were getting 10:1 on the flop they can have any of the things.

lol @ cepheus approved calldowns. and yea, obv if you're unfamiliar with GTO and what it looks like in a limited poo flinging game, then some of what solid players do might look insane.

i remember back in like 2006-2007 when a bunch of us started really loosening up postflop play to counter specialists inhabiting the then "big games" of 100/200 on crypto, party, and stars. doughnutz was pretty far ahead of his time as were a few others. but it tilted the living f*ck out of some people to think they'll obv win with their gutshot by betting it down only to be called by a or k high.
02-07-2018 , 08:29 PM
all i remember about doughnutz is that at a certain point he went on a 1000 bet downswing or something and people were debating if a winning player could actually run that bad

that plus him making a habit out of 3betting any ace from the SB versus the BTN then monkeybusiness ensuing.

DOUGHNUTZ!!!!!!

Miss that guy. I wonder what DONALD is up to, lol. Quack quack.

Attention: 20/40 online Merican limit hold em action on GLOBALPOKERDOTCOM. Played two dudes huhu yesterday. Limited hold them still exists!

Does Heisenb3rg still play? Haven't seen him on 2p2 in quite a while.

As far as I was concerned he was the literal GOAT LHE player in the pre-BF days on Stars.
02-08-2018 , 04:53 PM
bahahaha reminds me of the time when Chino Rheem sat at the 1k/2k and me and like 5 other regs were all sitting out at the 500/1k openly begging Heisenb3rg to sell us his action against him.
02-08-2018 , 06:05 PM
If those 20/40 games really get going on Global I might actually have to deposit some real money on there.
02-08-2018 , 06:07 PM
I think he plays live now; posted something on fb the other day. (This is a brag that I’m fb friends w Heisenb3rg)

I've only ever gotten huhu action at the 10 or 20, but I'm gonna keep doing my part to increase LHE action there.

Where at? Always wanted to meet the dude in person to say what's up and recall the good ol' days.

I think commerce.

gah I shoulda guessed; well, I've been considering heading over there now that I'm a bit robusto so maybe it'll happen

I also miss that Jack dude; he was always telling me how talented I was at poker, it was pretty sweet for the ol' ego even though he was probably just playing a long game for tips.

I miss the indoor smoking room right next to the tables too. Oh California. Indiana isn't cool like that.

Edit: Does POKERSNOOPY still play at Commerce? Always enjoyed battling with her.

I'm Facebook friends with OTR15!
02-08-2018 , 06:50 PM
****, maybe I shouldn't have posted that. Now ELO has a better chance to track me down and kill me.

b3rg was great but he was def tighter than doughnutz. I met doughnutz in person too at nyplayer’s wedding. this is a brag that I went to nyplayer’s wedding w Stox, doughnutz, and a few other stars regs :-).

You talking about the stox that cheated against the Russian on 888 and got snitched by a nit that claim he won the most money post BF?

That doesn’t sound like stoxtrader but he did get accused of cheating via collusion w nyplayer. But I still don’t believe he did it. He was a really good dude and a hard worker/heavy student of the game. He wrote an (arguably) overly weak tight SHLHE book based off of our play on crypto and stars (which was more the style at the time).

I never heard of this Russian thing though. Maybe I’m just not remembering it?

There another thread by russian reg cant remember who it was but I am sure he still play on stars highstake. I think it was cap game that stox cheated in. You going to be biases if you know the guys personally. I mean it impossible to explain why the mod that expose the UB end up cheating himself or another suppose repute 2+2 member who lol stole money from the tip box or the dude that has a huge staking group end up trying to angle/scam the drug induce BJ player in florida

DJ, can you comment on these oddish wide sb flatting strats vs btn/co opens (that aren't vs the spot/the spot isn't even in the bb)...

ie:yoghii flatted k8o sb vs reg btn...I'm no expert but seems ambitious
02-09-2018 , 07:09 AM
Depend on BB capping range. There is a mix strategy of CC in sb but quite hard to play. K9o is losing at .19 sb that all I can tell.
02-09-2018 , 08:18 AM
ya stox def was cheating by colluding. the numbers dont lie.
