I have no idea what is right because I'm in the spot once a year. I think the part of thing that you missed was the triple up here. Yeah it's probably close to the same awful spot but st least it's an awful to get fighting chips. I also thought it was really close. I would have folded 83o and I would have folded if it had been opened earlier or 3b by a reasonable player. Also the fact that the blinds could go up before the next lap felt important

Like I had slightly too many chips to go allin with any two heads up, but I was ready for allin with almost any two live-ish cards for a 3x+ since it would be almost impossible to get that many chips without have to win 3 double ups later.

I think the 84 is an easy fold there fwiw. It's just such a bad hand. And you can wait a whole round after folding small blind. Getting to open raise is always gonna be way better
