Initials NB?
How much up top?

Yep that's me. 30k up top.

The guy in the single draw 1500 last year or two years ago had never played before and won it - I didn't feel that badly after busting early since I didn't have much more experience than he did. Same thing in scoop this year with a nlhe player winning a plo8 event he accidentally regged. Everybody knows these things happen in 3s so.

I hope I don't have to join all you crushers in the 1500 LHE event, I'm playing my first seniors event ever at the Wynn. The play is laughable so naturally I'm getting crushed. My new strategy will be to get some of the severely underdressed young ladies from Encore beach club to parade through here thus giving all the old guys heart attacks, then duke it out with the old ladies

They moved the tourney to a different and didn't allow people in to watch

Busted level 7. Good luck to everyone still in

Omg! I'm so bad at short stack LHE tournament strategy. I have no idea what I'm doing. I did get to double through PaulValente twice and he still managed to outlast me. I bought myself a bottle of Don Julio 1942 as a consolation prize for busting in level 7. Yum.

Meh, ship it and pray imo.

I did manage to bag 12,500 despite Rodeo leaving me with 525 on the
500/1000 level.

Also, good work DD. Final tables are always good

Meh, after a certain age point, pool sluts don't even move the needle, so I doubt that strategy will work.

"You, you make a dead man come"

I made it to day 2, already in the money (1 for 4 this summer but that includes 2 MM bullets). New Wynn room is very nice and the dealers are all good. No talk of cryptocurrencies, very few headphones (maybe because 20% of the field has hearing aids), generally friendly, aside from the one guy with the old school naked lady tattooed on his forearm who yelled at me when my AJ beat his J9 on a 9 high flop. But I caught the turn sir?!

Good luck in the tournament. Sorry I didn't manage to be in the same place @ the same time as you were. In Vegas, time is an illusion. Also GL to all the peeps still in the 1500.

What a depressing thread. Apparently pig4 is already dead

250/500 blinds, 10 minutes until blinds increase. I lose my one hand, can't find anything to shove with, and post my big blind from a stack of 1725.

Terrance Chan with all the chips opens the CO, Btn with 1800 and who has been trying to go home 3 bets, and we do what with 84o?

I would probably hang onto my last 1225 and hope to find something decent between then and my UTG hand. Probably end up going AI with J9s or some such.

Going all-in from UTG regardless of my holdings if I don't find anything before then.

I'd probably fold, but like I said, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I play a short stack like Phil Helmuth. Pretty terrible.
06-13-2017 , 05:34 PM
Yeah but that sounds terrible to me. You're going to hope to find a 60/40 just to double up to a number that forces you to find an other one immediately. Plus once you post the sb you won't even have enough to make a full raise

I made gamboooool
06-13-2017 , 05:38 PM
Take a 3 way flip now for more chips cause there's a pretty good chance that with one bet left you're going to end up in a 3way all in later. Just for less chips and against stronger ranges
06-13-2017 , 05:52 PM
I have no idea what's right but the gorilla math I used to justify it was that 30% of 5500, feels like about 50% of 3000 and 75% of 2000.

Since I felt I was unlikely to find a 3 way spot where I was a 50% favorite or a heads up where I was a 75% it felt like a time to gambooool. Also 5500 is a number you could work with but 2000-3000 puts us right back in the same spot. If you fold, your best case scenario is basically to find a good hand in the next seven hands, survive the all in, just to be back in the sand ****ty spot you were but with the blinds going up. Yuck

If we hold here we can never face the BB with more than one bet so we're practically gaurenteed a 3 way all in

I've never played a LHE tourney so there's no hidden message behind this question: if you're going to be forced to not fold here, doesn't that mean you should have had a super low bar for open-raising before you got to this position? Like wouldn't it have been better to open 76o UTG than to go into the big blind forced to play?
