Ya, I played last night. It was actually below average. Heard from a friend Friday had a wild 50/100 game, good times if you're on the right side of short-term variance. Golden Gates had a 150+ waiting list for 1/2 with their $1000/hr high hand promotion.

I want to thank Maria Carey for giving 2016 the send-off it deserved.

2016 in the books and I played 978 hours of poker. I might be the worst pro ever

But how much did you lose?

He had trouble climbing over his leftover piles of money from WSOP, so had a hard time making it to the casino for boring 40/80 or whatevs. Nice problems to have.

I'm pretty sure my 3 month grind stretch alone put me near 500 hours.

First LHE hand of year I get KK vs. AA in 4 handed capped pot preflop and 3 handed capped on K95 flop. Of course idiot hits his one outer on turn.
01-01-2017 , 09:10 PM
I'm not sure it's a one outer cause no one folds an ace when they hit it on the turn.

And of course love how you cap second best hand pre flop and act like hitting your two outer on flop made your play correct.

That player then makes some comment when I win a smallish pot w/ AA about 20 minutes later that he won a pot earlier today w/ AA. A portion of his chips were quickly knocked over.

I think he said he won a much bigger pot with aces than you did. Which was true, making your response unwarranted.

I played 1186 hours of poker in 2016. My other job was 1600ish. Any other time was spent with my wife and kids. In 2017 I'm going to hopefully cut down a bit on the poker as I feel I need more balance.

I played around 300. I'm the definition of an amateur.

I played 700 hours from October thru December. Could have played more but worked a contracting gig in December and took some vacation days.

630 hours in 2016, including WSOP and small side trips to Charles Town, Foxwoods, and Maryland Live.

397 hours of 30/60 at Ameristar Black Hawk, 99 hours of 50/100. I ran extra good at 50, which is kinda nice since it's nearly twice my normal stakes. Mostly the same lineup with a few superdegenerates thrown in the mix for added variance.

Had to give up on the mixed games (home game in south Denver) after March, too exhausting to play during the week. If BH was 20 minutes from home instead of 60 minutes I'd play way more often...

Did we happen to intersect at all?

I doubt it, FW was only one Friday night and Saturday morning at the beginning of April. And I played 20/40 stud on Friday, don't get to play that very often and the game is ridiculously soft as I'm sure you know. I recognized the majority of the players even though I'd only played there once or twice previously. I think this year my trip to FW (tagged on to a personal trip I have to Boston) will be at the end of April, I'll give you a heads-up if I do get there again this in 2017.

I come from an antiquing family and one of my prized possessions is a giant cabinet that had a bunch of medical stuff from 1905-1914. Most of the stuff just got sealed up because a lot of medical "containers" were basically glorified match boxes or envelopes by folding paper around powder. Lots of vials labeled cocaine solution and some wafers you could apparently jam in your womb to cure "the diseases of women."or

Any of you guys with more medical knowledge care to guess what the **** was in this little package? Box is the length of a lighter.

Spoiler because it may be gross?

Spoiler:

Did I just discover 100 year old suppositories?

The company who sent that package gave up pharmaceuticals during prohibition to produce 'medical alcohol.' 60 years late it was bought my moet-Hennessy
