I think it's ok. Even with a wide BT range, he hits this board pretty hard, and once you call the turn, he has to think you have a pair.

i think villain played it fine, only calling here if villain and i have a huge leveling game over time going on

I dont play 3 handed often but i either fold on the turn or call down.

I agree with Leader/johnnyrocket, especially if villain doesn't view you as a huge calling station fish. You will have other hands you can call with on the river (given your action) to keep villiain honest here.
