P.S. Kiddo is right it makes a big difference whether they open the CO or btn.
On the J85 I would guess its almost better to be against a CO open compared to a BTN open. But I havent done any stoving.
Anyways. (depends on whether its twotone or rainbow so take it fwiw)
22 on QJ8 vs CO = easy peasy cf
22 on QJ8 vs BTN = cf unless you have a good read on him misplaying turn and river
22 on QJ3 vs CO = Meh I peel, but against tough players folding might be best, in particular if its twotone. Good news is that its so easy for us to play turn as any A, K, T, 9 is superduper easy cf
22 on QJ3 vs BTN. Def peel one of. Problem compared to the CO range is that folding any A, K, T, 9 is gonna have us give up much more equity. So knowing how villain plays is pretty valuable. IF villan plays river well wed prolly have to give up on those turns and that kills the EV of the flop peel, but its prolly still +EV
22 on J85. I doubt it matters much what range we are up against. The 8 and 5 connects well with a lot of the hands thats in a BTN range but not CO range. Its a ****ty situation because and 6, 7, 9, T, Q, K and A are bad cards and thats a ****ton of turns we are talking about. So if its twotone and villain is a tough player I dont think c/f'ing flop is bad. If we want to peel flop we have to peel all those turns as well and then we are in deep deep **** on a ton of rivers. Otoh if villain is playing poorly we mostlikely have an easy peel.
22 on AJ5. I peel this vs both ranges. Vs a CO open I cf any 9, T, J, Q pretty much regardless of the player. Vs a BTN open I dont mind peeling those if he is the type to give up with his bluffs/barrels on the river or if his river range is very polarized, ie if I know I will have a sick easy cc or sick easy cf. If villain is tough and opened in the CO and its twotone I dont hate a flop c/f. I would never cf flop vs a BTN open.
