Rake: Dealt vs. Contributed

I'd like to know what the differnces are? How does one work and how does the other work?
What are practical differences? Which obe generates more rakeback at the same rb percentage?
What about 27% rb contributed vs. 43% rb dealt? Which is more profitable?
Thanks for answers.

edit: just found the differnce explanation in faq, however i would still like to know practical differences.

Re: Rake: Dealt vs. Contributed

Greetings,

Contributed rake means that your rake is calculated from your share of what you put in the pot. Dealt rake means that as long as you are dealt into a hand you will share the rake between all the players at the table that were also dealt hands.

Hope this makes sense!

Thanks for your clarification.

This really is up to your style of play. If you are fairly loose and are in a lot of pots, the contributed rake would benefit you more. Since you are often putting money into the pot, this means that you would receive rakeback for more hands.

If you play tighter, then you will not be playing as many hands. Thus, you would be better off getting the dealt method, which means that you would be receiving rakeback on all hands that you decided to fold preflop on.

Hope this helps.

There prolly is not a "winning player" out there that makes more in RB by contributed then dealt when playing 6 max or FR...
