So, is there any benefit in playing during the happy hours at FTP if you have rakeback?

Well you can earn double points which means you might get access to your affiliate promotions more easily. if they have one.

We can't think of any disadvantage anyway

Kind regards

The disadvantage would when you spend your points, as a part is removed fromt the rakeback.

Hey FW,

But if you were earning the points with the intention of spending them anyway, then you would get the deduction at some point...so if it's been eaiser to get the points, you aren't at a disadvantage.

Kind regards

Let's see, 27% RB + item that is 73% free vs free item. Hmmmm........

Can real number examples with points and purchases be made. I'm accumulating all these FTP points and don't really know what to do with them nor do I understand the relationship between spending points and rakeback. It's really unfortunate all this stuff is so complicated and it takes a math degree to figure it all out - the same is true of Stars VIP program.

Not at all complicated:

100,000 points X .005= $500 MGR deduction

$500
X 27%

$135 in "lost" RB

Net cost to you on spending 100,000pts is $135 compare this to cost in stores for item in store you wish to purchase then decide to buy or not to buy...

Thanks for the #'s but is it best to just let those points keep adding up if you never find something that makes the hit worth it? Do FTP points have an inherit cash value in and of themselves? At Stars, it's generally accepted that the points are worth $1 per every 62.5 FPP. What are the best practices for Tilt points?

You can buy into some of the larger tournaments (Double Deuce, FTOPs, mini FTOPs, Daily Dollar, 750k Guar.) without affecting your RB.

Otherwise, you're gonna take an RB hit if you spend them, either in the store or on satellites. It's not a bad idea to spend them, as you are basically getting the item at 73% off instead of for free.

Yes, the same one as if you didn't have rakeback. More points.

Um, no.

Between bad advice and publicly acknowledging deals that break FT's rules, this is an affiliate I would avoid.

The best practice would be to do whatever suits you best. If you don't want anything in the store and don't care to use them for tournaments, you could wait another month to request approval to join the 2+2 Marketplace and sell them there.

Thanks for your answers guys. I was a bit confused on this issue because I know they deduct from your rakeback when you use the points. But I have also seen these calculations about using the points to buy store items and it looks like you get them at a better price than normal, so it seems to be better value than just keeping the rakeback if you are interested in something.

My affiliate says it does affect your rakeback, and why wouldn't it?

I think it's a loophole in Full Tilt's system.

Many people have reported not receiving an RB hit when they bought into these tournaments with FTPs.

TOURNEY VALUE ... 200 Full Tilt Points (FTP) equals $1. This is the standard as you can enter into the Daily Dollar Tournament with $1, or 200 FTP. The same is true with a few other tournaments where you can buy in a $20+$2 MTT for 4,400 FTP.

MARKET VALUE ... the marketplace value is $3.50 for 1000 FTP. If you want to sell FTP, you can do so in marketplace and FTPs are commonly sold between $3.30 and $3.70 per thousand. Whereas tourney value they're worth $5 per thousand. If you want to sell your FTP, it is done by making a deal with somebody (they transfer you funds) and you use your FTP to purchase something in the FTP store for them. You have the item from the FTP store sent directly to their address.

Can anyone confirm what dbcooper says regarding RB and the miniftops/other tournies?
