I don't quite understand how the point system works. It states you have to contribute $ to the pot in order to get points? Does that mean it would be in my best interest to play HU or 6max versus full ring as I am only involved in maybe 10% of the pots at full ring. So far I have earned 235 points in 634 hands at 200nl Full ring. Is that a good rate?

Yes, you will earn more points playing 6max (or 5max) than full. Example: you are in the blinds 2 hands out of 6, and you will receive points in those hands even if you fold your blinds (2 hands out of 10 Full Ring).

Be careful for HU play, I think the rake can eat your winnings.

This seems like horribly backwards thinking to me. HU and 5-max are both very different games from FR. Unless you're well-versed in all games, I would think that playing games you play well >>> than playing games you earn more bonus in.
