Looks like they'll be offering a chance to double your points between the 14th and 18th. Unfortunately, the periods are for limited times, but oh well, free points.

Guess they're trying to make up for last weekend's downtime.

I see very little value in this Promo...Double points will not make me change when and for how long I play...I guess may be it will for some...Anything is better then nothing and if it bring in a few additional "fish" for a longer stay I am all for it...

I wish it had been a week or two ago, the plasma TV would have already been ordered by now.

Would a bonus be unlocked 2x as fast at these hours?
04-11-2008 , 02:19 AM
I may be mistaken, but I think I was getting double points right now - 1AM to 2AM. 277 hands at 2/4 LHE 6max got me over 200 points, which doesn't seem right. ?

On another note, are FTP points worth much if you're already getting rb?
04-11-2008 , 08:52 AM
Giant, points used in the store result in a 100% deduction to the MGR, meaning a 27% hit to your RB payment. I'd still say they're useful. You can use them to buy stuff, enter tournaments (like the ones for the 26 and 75 token prizes), etc.
04-11-2008 , 01:06 PM
So if you spend $100 worth of points, that $100 comes off of your MGR, resulting in a $27 deduction from your RB, so you gain a net $73? So basically, points are worth 73% of what they're "worth" if you're also receiving rakeback?
04-11-2008 , 01:58 PM
Correct, to give an example:

Items x .005 is the amount deducted from your MGR. 50K item deducts $250 from your MGR, effectively $67.5 from your RB payment for the month.

Iron man bonus works the same way, every dollar you earn in that month is deducted from the MGR, not directly from your RB payment.

Thats the basic idea but it's actually worse becasue the the items are mostly overpriced in terms of points at $0.005 a point.

For example most of the books are 9100 points which puts them at $45.50 each(and $12.29 off your rackback) when they can generally be bought on Amazon for $20-25 and one of the monitors I was thinking about was $300 in points but could be easily found online for $200.

Still better than nothing but not as good as it initially appears.

Worthless promotion in a limited time period. Geez, Fulltilt, you really know how to please your customers.

The whole promotion is to try and increase play during very slow periods.

So whats the time in The Netherlands i need to play to earn double points?
04-15-2008 , 11:45 AM
Sheesh, just like last time, I'm probably going to strike out on each of these days...
04-15-2008 , 06:22 PM
wait... using points for tourney doesn't deduct out of your MGR?
04-15-2008 , 10:16 PM
It should if there is overlay, which I would assume there is in a point buyin tournament. Unless, people can also buyin with cash and that covered it.

I'd ask your affiliate or post in A/R.

Once again, I struck out on every day of the promo. Aiy,

Did anyone else get a different number of points on their double points bonus page from their iron man page? (when all of your play was during the bonus period, of course.) This happened to me almost every day.

While you guys are on the subject, if I use my points during a period when I'm not playing on FTP, will that effect my future rakeback? 3-4 months down the line let's say.

Depends on your affiliate.

No kidding. Come up with something more creative or worthwhile.

Yea, Bobo is right, this is dependent. Some affiliates roll over any negative MGR, some don't carry any over, and some carry over up to a certain point. Gotta ask your affiliate and hope.

I played several sessions during this promotion, however the FTP haven't been released into my account yet. Does anyone know when they plan on releasing them?
04-21-2008 , 04:49 PM
One time they did this, the points showed up a few days after the promo. Check the promotions page to see how much you earned.

It wouldn't surprise me if there was a delay, ftp routinely has issues with getting this stuff done.

The promotion times aren't very good for East Coast play =(
