Cereus screws their customers again Cereus screws their customers again

Ok I'm dumb and forgot to account for the fact that they deduct the $400 from the MGR, not the rakeback, but it's still over $133 I lost, and that's still not cool...
07-15-2009 , 12:07 AM
If you deposit using credit card as a US player it's a 10% deduction from rakeback MGR....

why is it US only that get the deduction?

Still sucks about the never expire thing

this, i was playing 25K hands a month of LHE, and was clearing less than 1,000 in bonus a month

they offer at least 5 $500 bonuses per month.

if you get one reload bonus per month, most of you wouldn't be able to clear that

/dragonystic saying "who cares, they have 3k in reloads every month"

why do you pay processing fees?

use ewalletXpress, it's free

Not for USA customers it's not. They deduct over 8% of all deposits.

ty for info, i never played because i often heard a lot of complain about changing rules in the middle of a bonus etc...

just glad i stuck to my beleives, i shall never play there for sure now after all of this.
07-19-2009 , 07:37 AM
How many bonus dollars do we figure they stole from customers accounts? Everyone I know had at least a couple hundred saved up in one or the other. I'm guessing it's in the millions, possibly over 10 million...

Lol people are funny. Anyone bothered to read the user agreement they accepted when creating an account? It's not gonna help if sheeple register to sites w/o knowing wtf they're accepting then come crying when something's changed. Yeah guys, things change. Know that before "signing a contract".

Quality 4 month bump.

Yeah, they have a clause that they can change anything, anytime. As does pretty much every other poker site. What's your point? People shouldn't be unhappy when they deposit for a bonus on the condition that they'll receive something, and then the site decides to change those conditions later on? Cereus has done this multiple times, but I can't think of any other sites that have.

Why do people have so many uncleared bonuses? Is it that hard to clear them?

I am considering depositing for the 110% bonus. If I am 6tabling 400nl, approx how long would it take to clear $1100?

Because they play at lower stakes at 400 NL? Cereus is well-known for slow-clearing bonuses, so I'm not the least bit surprised that people would have uncleared bonus.

LOL at asking about clearance rates in a thread like this. Did this thread inspire you to play there? If you're not American, play somewhere else. If you are, well, I know your choices are a little lean.

Bonuswhores should give you a good idea about clearance rates, although their rates are usually a little high.

Yes I'm american, I've decided to put a lil cash on bodog and cake to grab some bonus $. We'll see how it goes.
Thnkx for info

Take something like this to almost any judge and they will conclude that the application of this clause is totally unreasonable and unenforceable. They overturn absurd contracts all the time. Obviously that's a moot point because Cereus is rogue, dishonest, and above the law, but you can't expect everyone to have known that when they signed up. It's certainly not acceptable for them to retroactively change terms, they know it, and nobody in their right mind would expect it to happen even after reading their terms word for word without intimate knowledge of what scumbags these people are.

if i deposited $1100 on UB could i clear that bonus in a month playing 500, $10+1 SNGs in a month? or how would it work?
01-29-2010 , 10:01 AM
You need 20 points to clear each bonus dollar. And you get 1 point for each 0.30$ fee you pay. So 500$ in fees gives you 1500+ points and that is only about 75$.

So that is no reason to play on UB.
01-29-2010 , 04:10 PM
what about the points multiplier? if i move up levels wont i get it any faster?
01-30-2010 , 09:13 AM
no
you need a diferent type of points to clear them(forgot how they call them)
its like with vpp and fpp on stars.

I don't think at $11's you could clear that.

I want to thank ml02kr for bumping this (even though it surely annoys some of you to see this thread again).

I was one of the miserable .25/.50 stud 8 regs (like 100% of the players at those tables) between Nov '08 and April '09, but left upon the cathartic realization that point-grinding those games was the most wretched, soul-sucking task I had ever engaged in.

I returned to UB two months ago to find that they had fixed the ante bug (and yes, took my bonus money), and wondered when exactly they'd gotten their **** together.

I guess I only missed out on about two and a half more months of those barrel-of-laughs stud tables.

And anybody who thought that the ante loophole would last indefinitely was in a world of denial. It was only a matter of time until they started asking themselves how these microgrinders were making Icon.

I miss you so very dearly, JEDIMASTER, BOBA FETT, and ALONG THE SHORE.
