I was wondering what to look for in a new laptop. This would only be used for browsing the internet and zoom meetings. Any particular specs to look out for?
You need a laptop which will run Windows or Mac. Zoom no longer supports Chromebooks - so that's really the key specification, otherwise laptops made in the last few years are best.
What is your budget here? Are you in the UK?
My suggestion is to buy from Amazon rather than Currys, so you have less crap pre-installed on your device when you receive it.
Yes I am in the UK. I am not really sure on the budget but I thought it would not be that expensive since I just want basic things.
I also have an issue with my desktop and Zoom. For some reason, my webcam keeps stopping working on Zoom. I have a built-in webcam so also purchased an external one which I plug in. Sometimes it works on Zoom but many does it simply doesn't. I have checked my settings and my webcam is working, for some reason with Zoom it usually doesn't. All very weird.
