Want to buy a lap top....don't know which one to buy? Want to buy a lap top....don't know which one to buy?

Hi everyone.....

This is probably the wrong place to post this, but I don't know where to post it so here will have to do.

I am thinking of buying a lap top but am clueless as to what to buy and was hoping some kind souls on here who know about lap tops could help me make a decision.

I only really want it to play poker, run Holdem Manager/Poker Tracker along side and go on the internet, run skype sort of stuff.

I want a screen bigger then 13.5" as that is the size of the screen on the lap top I am using now (apple MacBook Pro) and I want a bigger screen then this one.

I am not going to be doing much more on it then the things I have said, and am willing to spend £500ish or more if needed.

I don't want some budget lap top that is just about capable of running the things I have mentioned, but I think spending £1000 (macbook sort of prices) is unnecessary.....but I could be wrong?

Hope someone can come up with some ideas, and I would be very grateful if they could post links so I can have a look at the site/lap top.

Thanks

Ok, so, under £1000 grinding laptop. Internet, Skype, doesn't sound like much gaming.

I like Vizio's lineup, but hate the keyboards on them. Otherwise they're relatively cheap, look good, and the 15" inch has an IPS screen with 1080 resolution. $800 will get you a good deal you'd be happy with if you're going to be working with a mouse for poker and not doing a ton of work on the keyboard. SSD built in, not a ton of RAM but plenty enough for your needs. I've had hands on and it's pretty nicely built.

This is pretty ballin for the money as far as a decent poker notebook & Facebook machine. And, for the third time, I'm going to stress that if you do a lot of work typing, avoid Vizio entirely. There's also a refresh coming with a touch screen and better battery.

Minimal connections, really just HDMI if you want to out to a monitor, no DVD drive. But you don't need to do a thing too it and it doesn't even come with crapware installed on it.
