Jesus, I semi-fell for this scam:

They called and said it was Apple calling and my iCloud had been accessed from overseas in the last couple days.
The whole reason it almost worked is I had just been on the phone with Apple Support last week, where they did take over my desktop to help me figure out why iMessage on my mac wasn't working. So I was like - oh we do this again.
The software - GoToAssist is legit and was already on my computer. But the site that launched wasn't even apple (DUH!). She got connected but then asked me to enter my email and "number". At that point finally my spidey sense kicked in and I hung up. She got my full name but that's it. I deleted the app and emptied the trash.
Guhh - it sucks how they can catch you right at a time like that. Maybe there's some way they find out you were just on the phone with Apple. I dunno.
I almost got caught in another scam phishing for my Paypal password - saying they were investigating a large purchase, that came like 1 day after I'd just payed like $4k for something over paypal. They must have some kind of inside info.
