How about shared with me? I would think that the space would be attributed to whoever is the owner of the file, not to people that he/she is sharing the file(s) with.

Anyone get in on this large MongoDB hack? I had a server with a non secured mongo db and its pretty hilarious looking at logs. There have been 5 diff hackers so far, each one wipes the db, then wipes the previous hackers message and leaves their own.

"note" : "SEND 0.5 BTC (BITCOIN) TO THIS ADDRESS 1KtT2WKpgxqMg2nRaDKJG2tehjqckpTkD AND CONTACT THIS EMAIL WITH IP OF YOUR SERVER TO RECOVER YOUR DATABASE!"

Good show

They replied basically saying that they can't have an offer standing that long because of dynamic resources and company needs. They will reach back out in a few months if they do still need a new hire.

That's not an open offer if you accept. They sound ******ed.

Is there a good place online to outsource a quick programming job?

Specifically I'm looking for someone to write a hand history (hh) converter that takes the text files I have of hh's and converts them into slightly modified text files that I can import into my HM database.

There has to be an easy way of doing that without programming experience.

Anyone in LA know WordPress and want to take on a website/tutor my buddy? He's a Photoshop guy - wants to learn HTML/CSS.

I believe I could accomplish it but it would likely take me a bunch of hours that I'd rather spend doing something else.

I'd also be happy to pay someone to do it who wants the work/money.

I'd e surprised at any method of automated HH conversion that would be considered easy to create.

You could use elance or something. I'd do it but might charge more than you want to pay. PM details if you want. From information so far could be 10 mins work or a weeks work.

I tried to write a bovada HH converter a while back and it was a pretty big pain in the ass. Lots of edge cases

Yeah. You probably want someone familiar with both online poker and programming to assess it at least. If you outsource to like elance you're going to get someone say they can do it for $200, then they'll pronounce it "done" with like 50 different edge cases not dealt with.

Willy did say "slightly modified" though so there's some chance it's an easy job without edge case problems.

just post the reqs here. also, why doesn't your poker tracker software already support it?

I had some pretty sick AHK scripts back in the day.

I've written many HH converters in my day. Years ago I wrote and gave away a poker-tracker type subtitute and HUD. I'd say that unless someone already has some working converter code, they're looking at 10 hours work minimum. Maybe more if the HH is not very consistent (a lot of them are not) and maybe less if the format is extremely simple (a rarity)

I kinda doubt anyone would want to pay me what I'd want to charge for 10 hours work for this. You might find someone who is new to programming who would do it for less, but you might not get what you want out of it. It's hard to say.

Thanks for this.

Several years ago 2p2 poster Neko coded a hh converter for me and I ended up paying him between 100 and 200 dollars. He billed me hourly but I don't remember the rate. He also set up some data collection from a site (don't worry, it wasn't an actual poker site, just a way to collect data on a bot.)

IIRC it was an AHK script that did the hh conversion and was mostly just snipping some words from the hh, maybe adding one or two words or repositioning some info within a text file.

This new converter would need to work similarly as the hh files are quite similar to, say, a pokerstars hh with just a few differences in layout of information so that hm2 won't import them.

I know Neko was an extremely competent coder so he likely got it done quite quickly and was very kind to give me a good rate.

I can hack around at coding in python and sometimes do so on the sikuliX platform which gives me a few more tools to get jobs done. I don't mind giving it a shot but thought if someone wanted to do it and could get it done for a couple hundred bucks it'd be worth not bothering. Seeing how that is likely not the case then is there any place I might find some hh converter code out there that I could look at and steal some ideas from?

Cheers!

I'd have probably done it for 200 or 300 bucks 10 years ago, but I have less time and more money than I used to.

I don't really know where to find sample code, sorry. I have some, but it's quite old and in a language I would no longer recommend that anyone uses.

Took a little bit to set up over the weekend, but I'm really enjoying developing with TypeScript in Visual Studio Code. With a couple plugins it becomes a really useful IDE.

Which plugins do you recommend ?

Here are the ones we use. I installed local history after losing a half-days work because a file was updated by git and Ctrl-Z didn't just bring back my working file (like Sublime does).
