Using Microsoft Edge and I clicked something, don’t know what, and now my tabs turned in to little windows.

He used Microsoft Edge, and to change it back you just open Chrome like everyone else

Click the little up/down arrow to the right of the new tab plus sign.

Yes. This here. The up down arrow is tiny. Took forever to figure it out. Well like 4 minutes which is forever on a computer.
