Not sure where to pot this but I'm wondering if anyone has tried the new tablets, not Ipad and Galaxy tabs ldo, but something like the slate 500 or asus eee to play poker on. These run the Windows 7 OS, which some say is not that touch friendly. I'm assuming all "smaller" poker rooms (ipoker, cake, party, pacific etc.) should run on this since it's windows 7 no?

If anyone has some experience with these and can tell me whether or not some of these rooms run smoothly/decently on this, I'd appreciate it.

I 9-table LHE on Full Tilt on my Lifebook T5010 running Windows XP.
I used to use it in tablet mode, but I've been mostly using it in standard/keyboard mode lately since I've been taking a lot of notes.

It works great in both modes, but there are a few glitches in tablet mode on Cake 2.0. For example, the buttons on the title bar (minimize/restore/close) do not work with the stylus.

I cannot comment on Windows 7 + touch as I have not tried it.
I would recommend getting a stylus-only tablet. With the stylus you can hover about 1/2" over the screen to move the cursor, then just touch the screen when you want to click something.

I see, but when in tablet mode and operating with the stylus is it easy to slide the bar to increase raises, esp when multi tabling? Would it become unbearable to play more than let's say 2 tables of this (I would be playing hu) so I would have to move the bar constantly.

Not sure if you are looking to play exclusively on a Tablet. If you are just looking to be able to play some poker on your Tablet, but possibly not your "main" site then you may want to try out Switch Poker. It is a Mobile Poker Site that you can play on any device with a browser. It was created for iPhone and iPad but works fine on Android Devices or any PC with a Browser.

Again, if your looking to play your normal volume, or a decent volume on a Tablet this may not be an option. I play at Switch on my Android when I'm "on the go" and I have to say I like it. Always nice to stack somebody on your lunch break at work

You can play on the iPad, and I assume Galaxy/Android tablets, with virtual terminal type software to control your PC, with good weight, battery life, it's just hard to multitable and it's much better playing limit.

As I said on the NVG thread, asking a Windows 7 tablet to have enough memory/CPU to run HEM and your poker site, while still being lightweight enough to be comfortable while offering decent battery life is a parley I wouldn't expect to succeed any time soon.

And I"m not even getting into the additional long shot of Microsoft actually releasing a usable tablet after nearly 20 years of failures.

Does this mean you'll be able to play now on the Motorola now that Flash will be available?

I have just ordered a lenovo yoga-2-pro which is a full windows 8.1 laptop which can also be used as a tablet. Does any one have any experience running poker stars on windows 8 touch screens? How is it?

Also slightly off topic but does anyone know how I can run pt4 on my main PC and also have the same database running on the laptop. So the 2 are in sync?
