Been trying and often struggling to play 6~ tables across two sites (Party & Stars). Often significant lag and tables are just tiny so now looking to upgrade to PC/Monitor.

So I'm looking for a PC that will almost solely be used for playing poker that will not lag when playing 6~ tables over two sites. Space is a slight issue so I'm looking for the smallest monitor that can comfortably fit 6 tables with no overlap.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

If your laptop works fine, just get a 24-27" FHD monitor. These start from 100$ new. If you can find something with 1920x1200 resolution instead, either new or refurb/used, even better. That extra vertical res helps with tiling tables.

Think the laptops best days are well and truly behind it. Not just the lag when I have two poker clients open it's painfully slow for browsing too.

Should have said I have a budget of ~£1200 for a PC, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse and a desk/stand.

in that case I'd grab one of these
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Octa-Cor...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
really good value , tho I hear the display is a bit dim so if you plan to use it outside a lot, not the best. for the price nothing else to complain about

it can power 4k monitors as well if you want something nicer that fits 9-12 tables tiled comfortably. if not, a full hd one will do. 27" is a solid size.

Thanks very much for those, ionutd.

nope
they don't make wireless monitors (no wires to wall plug) because they would have a short life running on a battery that you'd have to charge frequently since displays use quite a lot of power
there are some fringe use cases to connect your windows laptop and monitor wirelessly, but it's only stuff like using your phone to load a youtube video on your smart TV, you wouldn't be able to play poker wirelessly

Ok man, thanks.

I was looking for 1920x1200 monitors last night because of what you said about how the tile on Stars but they seem pretty rare?

What do you think of this one...

Just wanted to emphasise this. I've used wireless tools to connect a laptop to a TV for giving work presentations etc, and they're always terrible, unreliable, and delayed.

It's a bit like Bluetooth was 18-20 years ago. It theoretically worked, but not to the level that you need for it to be daily and useful.

I think you would likely be very happy with that monitor

Appreciate the help guys.

Have gone with the Dell Monitor. Going to give it a go with my current laptop and see how it goes before buying a new one.

Thanks again.

Hi, ionutd.

Been searching around for a laptop based on the advice you've given in this thread and others. Can I ask you what you think of this one?

https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops...CABEgIbbfD_BwE

With the 16gb of ram, larger screen and the bigger ssd is it worth the extra £300 compared to the Huawei one you recommended earlier in thread?
