That IP resolves to what looks like some address in Quebec..
I'm gonna guess that Azureus used a port to download torrents that should normally be used for connecting to mail servers. Did you mess with any Azureus port settings?

I haven't messed with azureus at all. It still has the default port settings.

I don't know if this is relevant, but in Avast > mail shield settings > ssl accounts, there is one listed as:
host name: bell.ca
protocol: POP3
port: 995
Is that supposed to be there? There has never been any kind of email client used on this computer.
