Resetting "Path" variable

I accidentally set "Path" environmental variable instead of "PATH" to a certain path name I wanted. I can't seem to find the default setting anyhwere to restore "Path". This is Windows 7. Can I figure this out somehow? What's the effect of having the wrong "Path"?

That link should help you. However if you have restarted the computer, you would not be able to restore it. What basically that means that some of programs will fail to run , but will run again if you reinstall them
