I am also looking for a new laptop for online poker. Hm3 and notecaddy with a big custom hud and a lot of custom notes should work without lag. Solver performance is not important.

I am looking at some benchmark tests. For my needs, what is more important: single core or multi core perfomance?
Something like ryzen 5600h, 5800h or i7 1165g7 should all be ok, right?

Thank you

Without solver work, any modern laptop will suffice. Just make sure it has 16GB of RAM. Buy whatever you can afford, the more you spend, the longer it will serve. if you play off the laptop screen, screen resolution and size will be relevant as well.

Okay so I'm back in the US now and going to take a look at laptops. Will be checking it out at best buy etc.

Now, almost everyone here says any modern laptop with a ryzen 5 or 7 or i5 or i7 will be more enough and you do not need to care about the graphics card and thus it can be the integrated graphics card. However, how many of you play on Stars ROW though? Because a lot of you mention you don't need a fast graphics card yet that is what Aurora is... you apparently need a good graphics card for that.

So you are telling me a graphics card that is Intel UHD graphics would be good enough? One poster said it should be good enough. Something like the Intel Iris Xe Graphics would be better? These are the graphic cards that seem to be a bit below the nvidia rtx 3050 etc. I do also see LG gram laptops at costco site online which lot of people say are good laptops with fast processors and all it says for the graphics card is integrated graphics. I do find it a bit ridiculous some of these laptops even though its maxed at the 32gb ram and 1tb ssd and 12th generation i7 that it cost around 2k and all it only has is an integrated graphics. Shouldn't you want at least 3050 at the minimum if you are paying 2k or so for a laptop?

Is everyone here extremely confident the graphic card isn't important at all here? I believe fozzy mentioned to me a while back my processor even though its many years old, that isn't the problem and neither is my ram because its 32gb and it just has to do with the graphics card which is intel hd graphics 530 and nvidia geforce gtx960m. Because I want to know if i need say minimum nvidia rtx 3050 or 3060. The reason being I can't test stars while in the US to see if the same issues arise on aurora so I can't just buy a laptop and return it.

Also I took a look at lot of the gaming laptops and lot of them are 3050 or 3050ti or 3060 or even 3070 or higher. The one thing about all these gaming laptops that I am not a fan of is the battery llfe. Yes I play while plugged in but I would definitely want a decent battery life on it if I am doing something else and that seems like most gaming laptops are not like this even if you turn off the graphics card? Also like I mentioned, I don't play any games at all etc. But it would seem like a 3060 will probably mean almost no lag at all? 3050 maybe... but whatever laptop I should probably get at least 3050?

Do you really think it is possible that pokerstars introduces a new software and suddenly millions of their customers cannot use it anymore, because it won't run on PCs with integrated GPU?

Read the above twice and sink it in.

Yo can write, but anyone here in the forum severely questions your abilty to read or to think. Your questions have been answered multiple times by several peopñle and yet, here you are again wasting our time

There are some posters in the thread who mentioned they have a top of the line cpu and gpu computer. Someone mentioned they have a top spec gaming laptop and has issues. Several mention they cannot open more than just a few tables before the lagging/freezing stars with the same specs. So what are your thoughts on that then? These people don't have just the basic integrated graphic card and have issues with a top spec computer. They are having these issues with just a few tables which is ridiculous.

I am not sure if you read that much about aurora, but literally almost every single player who heavily multitables have an issue with it. Have you played on stars ROW? Because I do not think you understand how bad aurora is. Back then before aurora, there was almost no lag and you could play lot of tables without any issue. With aurora, if you go over a certain amount of tables, the lagging/freezing happens. Some posters had mentioned... they use to 25+ table. Someone even said they 30+ table. They say they can no longer do this due to the software and can probably play 15 table at the most. By that the lagging/freezing most likely times them out if they do more than that. So this is aurora causing issues if you are a heavily multitabler. Yes I know it doesn't affect most players.

I don't think what I am asking is unreasonable at all. I wanted to know from people who actually plays on stars ROW and plays lot of tables, if their computer has same issues and if not, what specs they use.

You seem to forget we have seen your previous 3800 posts and all the questions there while offering nothing in return. Please explain why you think you are entitled to have your moronic questions answered instead of doing your own research which is extremely easy in the age of google/youtube.
