Is it possible to convert an image into a text character/symbol (or emoji)? Is it possible to convert an image into a text character/symbol (or emoji)?

I'd like to be able to covert a graphic image into a text character/symbol (or emoji) so I can use it in text only documents. It needs to be used just as a normal text symbol like #%&*, etc. (if that's not possible, used like an iPhone emoji).

I have seen this character on some text documents (that I also need to use) so I assume someone was able to convert this graphic to a text character: 🚚🚚

Or maybe this red truck is an emoji?

I need to either turn a graphic I have into a text character/symbol or Emoji.

Then, once it's turned into an emoji, how would I actually use it as a text character in a text document? Or if an emoji, I need to be able to use in text messages just like an iPhone emoji is used.

Anyone know how to do this?

That truck is unicode character U+1F69A.

someone with more knowledge of unicode and emojis (etc) than me may be able to offer different/better advice, but I don't think you can do exactly what you want to do. Programs/devices support certain pre-configured character/symbol sets. Even if it was possible for you to define your own new custom character on your own device, no one would be able to see your character unless they too loaded that custom character definition into their device/program.

Interesting. I found someone that is going to create a custom font ( .otf format) with a couple images as the letter's "a" and "b". That way I can choose that font when typing in a text document such as MS WORD by selecting the custom font and typing "a" or "b". Then I was thinking I could just copy these "text" characters and post in other text only area like online forums.

Would this work, or would others without this custom font installed NOT be able to see these image characters that are part of my custom font?

Thanks!

Unless you embed it in whatever document you create for them to read, then no.

I was hoping to use these symbols in a Craigslist title. I saw someone used the truck symbol above in a Craigslist title to help their ad stand out.

I'm hoping to find some custom color symbol to use in my title to help my ad stand out as well.
