Scan doesn't always find all malware. Might be something new that it didn't have data on yet. Also, lots of ways to lose an email account other than a trojan. Using a public wi-fi without an HTTPS connection for email, logging in on someone else's computer that has a trojan, not having WPA enabled on your own wireless network, etc etc.

so what steps should i take before redepositing and playing again? i changed my email and poker passwords but does that mean im safe?

its possible that your computer(s) has been compromised.

I would make backups keeping only non-executable files (e.g., only pictures and videos; Microsoft document formats are debatable).

Then I would do a format and reinstall, only using trusted sources of software (official installations, no torrents).

But that's just me. Actually did it once, after my e-mail got hacked.

another question, i do malware and spyware searches every few days and i always seem to have adware tracing cookies when i do them. are these dangerous as they always seem to be renewing after i get rid of them. im really paranoid now about my security and it has me worrying

No, all they mean is that some site can read what other sites you visited. Annoying, but noone will hack you through that.

ye i did all that with keypass so all my passwords and security question answers are really hard to hack.
