Hi,

Looking to buy a desktop for solely poker and wanna run 2x24" monitors, hem , hud and couple more scripts while 12+ tabling smoothly and obviously for some porn when games are quite. Currently using a vaio laptop and i am on the edge of taking my own life.

I've been searching the forum to get some idea and built one as most of the people did but i have absouletly no idea about computers and the parts u guys talking about so i gave up on that idea and decided to shop for a dell or something like that. My budget is up to £1k and i wanna be able to use it @ least 2.5 - 3 years.

If any nice soul could tell me what they think about this one ( the £999 one on the far right of the page when u click the link ) and / or recomend me some any other EASY options, may the good karma be with them and their tables never be without @ least 4 donks.

Peace.

Seems like a good pic, you can't do anything wrong with it. Core i7, 8gb ram, 2tb raid0, geforce gts 240.
Surely enough for your needs for the next time.

That is fairly hi end, well above normal. It should do for more than 3 years. I'll guess, good for at least 5 years.

If your 1k budget is firm, I'd recommend dropping down a notch (possibly taking the upgrade to 8gb) as it appears all you're giving up is the blu-ray drive and 2gb ram. With your main hard drive set up as a raid-0, backups are even more critical because if either raid drive dies you'll lose all your data. This way you can take the savings from ditching the blu-ray drive and pick up an external hard drive for backup use. If you're not a heavy gamer, the graphics card should be ok. Seems like the 240s are a bit hit or miss when it comes to having 2 dvi ports.
