PartyPoker Sounds not working right

I just bought a new laptop and the sounds on party poker arent working correctly and was wondering if anyone else had this issue. Sometimes when its my turn, I will hear a muffled or distorted version of what its supposed to sound like or sometime its very delayed and other times you cant really hear any notifications when its your turn. I noticed this issue on my old laptop when I hooked it up to my monitor the sounds would be very low and distorted but when not hooked up the sounds were loud and clear. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this issue. I just bought the new dell xps 17 by the way if that helps

Try clicking on the speaker/sound icon in the system tray (bottom-right, next to the clock) and change the sound output option.
