Is there a natively way to open heic images on Windows 7? The heic photos come from my iPhone 8 DCIM folder when connecting to a Windows 7 PC.

Looks like the short version is no.
It looks like Windows 10 1809 build may have native support or you can leverage the DropBox app.

@headtrauma, Dropbox connection is very slow at my area.

Windows store. Heic and hevc extensions will add support for heic files to windows.

Once the heic photo is converted to JPG format, the heic photos can be opened on the computer.
