You mean software you bought? Same way as the PC world, if you do a reset it shouldn't matter though, all your stuff will be erased and it will be like first log in again for whoever to you sell it to.

Im trying to install Pokerstars on my new Imac 2019 and it keeps saying to me to install on aplication folder and run from there...when I do that it just keeps saying me the same message... cannot update software, please run from aplications folder. Its driving me Nutts. Anyone ?

When you download pokerstars you ended up with a Pokerstars folder in your Download folder that had a Pokerstars.dmg in it. If you clicked on the Pokerstars folder it opened to show the .dmg file and a link to the Applications folder. Drag and drop the .dmg file into the Applications folder. Click on the Applications folder to open it, you should all your other applications. Scroll down to Pokerstars and launch it.

That just worked for me on a 2015 MacBookPro so it should work for you.
