Hi,
I have read the hardware configuration topics, so I already have some idea. If you could advise something on my configuration, I would be very grateful. I currently have

http://prntscr.com/udcdwx

I would like to optimize the emulators at the lowest possible cost. Currently, after updating to ldplayer4, even 4 emulators on low settings are cutting down terribly. Ultimately, I would like to be able to comfortably fire up 6 emulators during the game(on each of them few tables). I considered replacing only the motherboard, CPU and RAM. After research have something like this in mind

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0
G.Skill 32GB AEGIS GSkill DDR4 3000MHz 2x16GB DUAL

I would love to read your opinions about this. Or maybe it would be better to sell the whole set I have and assemble a new one for an additional fee?

I've never tried emulators so take what I say with a grain of salt

Given what others have posted about emulators, it seems like the main bottleneck is the number of physical cores on your cpu, as each ldplayer instance you open is assigned x number of cores and then those are not available to other instances anymore.

So say you needed 2 cores per 1 emulator you have open, for 6 instances you'd need 12 + 2 more cores to run windows. Now virtual cores count as physical ones, so cpus with hyper threading effectively have double the amount of available cores.

I think your best budget options are either a Ryzen 7 or 9 (not a 5) or a refurb workstation with dual xeon cpus. However, idk how the emulator runs on older hardware or the xeon platform, this you have to look into yourself. I'm also unsure of what the recommended system resources are, there's nothing clear that I could see on ldplayer's website.

So do a bit of digging to find out exactly what you need and then we'l help you pick the system parts or maybe a pre-built within budget.

How many instances of the emulator can you run well on your i7 4th gen and 16 gb ram?

Running only 1 emulator, without h2n looks like this

http://prntscr.com/udkdow

Couple of days ago it was possible to run somehow even 6 emulators with lagging. Right now even this one is not running smooth, with 4 is disaster. Settings of each emulator

Clock90,

I think that you basically want to buy a CPU/setup with as many cores as possible.

If you want to go the AMD route, then the Performance/Enthusiast/High-End Desktop/Workstation is likely to be what you want here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zen_2

If you prefer Intel, then the Xeon line is probably what you'd want, but they're not really aimed at consumers.

I think I will go with AMD route, but this forces me to also change motherboard. Any suggestions for motherboard for this performance processors from your link Josem? I mean this motherboard that I posted in first post is gonna affect performance in a negative way? This seems to be cheapest motherboard that supports this.

you'd have to change boards if you were getting a modern intel chip too

does 1 ldplayer run well enough on only 1 core and 2g ram? if you also run h2n does it perform a lot worse?

honestly people have been complaining about these emulators even on pretty powerful systems, maybe the problem is that they're just poorly optimized. some have complained that the software slows down and grinds to a halt after a couple of hours.

My general rule with motherboards is to get the cheapest one that supports the processor and whatever other features you need. I just don't know of any marginal benefit from spending more money (and if you would get a benefit, you'd probably know about it)

Hi again,
I finally decided on such a set

https://prnt.sc/um3r68

For 2 days everything was running smoothly. 6 emulators on max settings and under 50% usage of cpu. So after seeing such results I didn't change anything in settings and just grind for 2 days. Now suddenly cpu usage is above 90%. Can someone help me with this? I didn't want to open new thread, so if not here maybe on priv? I'm frustrated af with this.

I'd recommend looking in the Pokerbros thread. Lot's of people have had similar issues resolved in there.
