Laptop touchpad randomly becomes inactive

I bought a new Lenovo Yoga 730 about 6 weeks ago, and recently I noticed that the touch pad will randomly become inactive when scrolling. (Controlling mouse pointer works fine.) If I just click on a new tab in the browser and then come back to the page I was trying to scroll, the scroll will be working again. And it seems to take a couple minutes of scrolling for the scroll to stop working in the first place. Any ideas?

Log in as Admin. In "Device Manager" if you have a duplicate keyboard entry with error, uninstall it but first check the box to remove software as well. Restart laptop.

When I do this, I see an HID keyboard and a standard PS/2 keyboard under "Keyboards". Under HID , I see an HID touchpad. What do you mean by "with error"?
