Hello, laptops with the i5 11400h are enough to play poker in multiple rooms? I am only going to use it with hm3, not solvers. Or do you have other suggestions?

Why would this not be enough to play on multiple poker sites?

Forgive my ignorance, I haven't played online poker in several years, but you could play on multiple sites with computer processors made in 2010, let alone 2023.

It's because I generally played on pokerstar and after the Aurora update, I had problems with the software, I had to reinstall a previous version with the old engine to play without lag, that's why I asked because many people had problems even with modern computers.Although I don't know if pokerstars solved the problem.

It sounds to me that the problem is with PokerStars software, not your CPU.

I have found out that HUD software (HM3/H2N - not sure about PT 4) and PokerStars can start to struggle if you are playing 6+ tables, unless you have a pretty good GPU.

Adding a 6650 XT GPU to my desktop PC smoothed out all the issues I was having with HUD lag / PokerStars lag - lag so bad that it was unplayable with 9+ tables. Using the Carbon Lite theme on Stars does help some too on my laptop (theme doesn't make a difference with my desktop - it plays anything poker related smoothly with the 6650 XT)

My laptop has a 1660 Ti and plays perfectly for the most part but can definitely get bogged down from time to time. I would recommend buying something with a GPU rated at least about 13000 (which is what the 1660 Ti from my laptop is rated at ...) off this list ... and for now don't buy a laptop with integrated graphics. That last part may change once AMD releases Strix Halo / Strix Point but that is looking like 2025.

I cannot believe for a single minute that a high end GPU is required to run Stars, even if their client is a piece of crap, and have to think that the entirety of your problems are down to mass table hudbotting. It's a poker client ffs, not Crysis, anything will do - of course if you're using integrated and asking the CPU to do the graphics at the same time as you're rinsing it with your external software, it's going to be worse, but it will be a tiny fraction of the actual load you're putting on the computer

You're 100% correct the lag is more HUD related than Stars related. I have no idea why H2N or HM3 are GPU intensive ... given a HUD is a black rectangle with some numbers on it ... Still, the issues I had clearly were GPU related.

My experience using an iGPU was unplayable once over 6 tables (unless I dropped the resolution to like 720p) ... using a laptop GPU (1660 Ti) things are much better even using 1080p (my laptop's default resolution) ... but starts to get noticeably laggy with 12 tables. On my desktop with a 6650 XT, I haven't run into any slowdowns even 12+ tabling at 4K.

HM3 works much better with a lower end GPU than H2N - but I was getting a lot of pop up lag on HM3 - which IIRC went away with the 6650 XT ... but by that time I had already fully converted my HUD over to H2N ... because despite going back and forth with HM3 support endlessly, nothing was fixing the pop up lag. Sometimes it would take over 60 seconds or more to get my pop ups to load stats ... obviously not usable without slowing down the game massively - and maybe not at all due to time bank limitations. I may actually give HM3 another shot soon and see if the lag went away when using the 6650 XT, because I do prefer the HM3 software when it's working properly.

A 6650 XT is not really a high end GPU ... but also not low end.
