so i'm finding myself overwhelmed and uninformed- i feel comp-illiterarte compared to myself 1-2 decades ago.

i want to build a new computer. i had my little brother build a custom one a year ago but it has has BSOD issues since inception and now want to find something that actually works.

looking to run pio, a few poker clients, pokertracker4 + stackandtile, party caption/stars helper type stuff simultaneously. i'd like to have a few monitor hookups.

i currently have 16gb ram and it seems to crunch pio sims rather quickly, unless i'm doing something incorrectly. I was going to upgrade to 32, but someone suggested opting for 64.

as per the pio thread i was looking into an amd threadripper processor.

i presume for a very large database i want a SSD?

do i want liquid cooling or any of that jazz?

that's pretty much all i know, i know it's very little. if anyone can recommend specific companies or types of equipment, as well as a company to build it, i'd appreciate it. i know these threads have existed but technology and out-dated hardware/future proofing concerns, etc
