If I go to do a speedtest at beta.speedtest.net/ it shows my IP as 12*.17*.14*.30

When I google Whats my IP

the IP shown as

20*1:8*03:4*ba:a600:258b:61*5:575:5*67
Your public IP address

(I changed a few numbers obviously to * for privacy with both the first and second IP address)

Why is the IP different?

One is an IPv4 address. One is IPv6. No idea why you're getting different results.

Do you think the computer might be hacked?

ipv6 is still not necessarily widely supported, so some things may be accessible using ipv6, while others may still only be accessible using ipv4. beta.speedtest.net may only be accessible using ipv4, which would explain why it recognizes you as having an ipv4 address as well. this is completely normal, and this alone does not point toward anything being hacked.
