How to disable lockscreen on Windows 8.1?

I realize the absurdity of an otherwise technically proficient individual having to ask this question on a poker forum and I hope you do too.
The gpedit.msc solution doesn't work for me, presumably because I don't have the right edition of 8.1. I tried creating a NoLockScreen registry value as per the instructions of some random youtube video and that also did not work. I've also tried a couple of other things that are apparently no longer relevant due to updates so pointing me in the direction of a webpage that was last updated in 2015 probably won't help.
