hi, i went trought all 2008-2010 pages and the 3 last of this threads....

the only recommendation i find here for creating image cd or dvd are :
- ImgBurn
- InfraRecorder

those 2 suggestions dates from 2010, so maybe today better software has been realease ?

my desktop dvd-rom just stop playing dvd and only can read cd now ( i shall buy a another dvd burner soon i guess).

so i need a program that can create image of dvd ( wich i will use my latop for for creating images of dvds) so i can put it on a usb drive (stick) and read those dvd ( images of dvd ) on my defective desktop .

so i wonder wich of both programs is best upthere or has there been any other release since 2010 that do a better job for this ( assuming the 2 programs listed here will do the job correctly )?

ty

ps: will i need a special program to read the isofiles on my usb stick ?

ty again

I have fallen in love with the snipping tool on my work PC but I don't have it on my netbook at home which runs Windows 7 Starter edition.

Is there any way to get it installed or use something similar?

Openoffice kicks the s#%$£ out of microsoft office.

Used Avast for a few years is good free antivirus loads better than AVG had all sorts problems with that and when i removed it and scanned with better antivirus found loads infected files AVG missed.

CCleaner used that for years is really good for cleaning out PC can do it all in one place. And really fast. The Defaggler doesn't do anything though i not tried it for a few years might be better now.
Speccy good aswell tells you what on your PC if ever need that info. And tells you core temperatures.I know the info already on PC but is all over the place. So just makes things easier.

There the ones i been using for years and had no problems with.Just check out osalt.com there's something for everyone there.

Any suggestions on a simple program that pings an ip every few hours and if it fails to get a response issues a warning?

I've looked and can find programs that have that as a feature but also have a lot of other features. I'd like something really basic.

Not really what you are asking for, but alternate solution might be hack something together with autohotkey? Should be really simple to do.

This looks like a good place to start, if this doable for you:

I've been using avast for almost a year now, never disappointed. Been using freemake for video converting, CCleaner for PC cleaning.

So I used to love spybot for removing spyware but the new 2.0 version really sucks hard imo.
Can someone recommend a good replacement?
