SAS has always worked well in identifying and removing infections others like malwarebytes have missed.
I run rkill first to stop any running malicious process first.

Hi Guys,

I need to make a quick video for a friends wedding, ive seen the autodance videos on youtube, such as, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYjVk0r2J3Q.

I need some version i can do on my PC or something, as the iphone isnt quite versatile enough, or maybe a way to get the video onto my PC so i can do a bit of editing?

I have a Hitachi HDD video camera and the software that came with it is a few years old. I downloaded the Windows 7 version and my new PC HATED IT. Had a BSOD and a big tantrum.

Does anyone know a good, free program (or cheap) that will move the files off my the camera to my PC?

Thanks.

Dropbox is a Web-based file hosting service operated by Dropbox, Inc. that uses cloud computing to enable users to store and share files and folders with others across the Internet using file synchronization.

-free service provides 2 GB of free online storage.
-linux windows mac iphone android apps and a webbased client
-encrypted
-The Dropbox client enables users to drop any file into a designated folder that is then synced with Dropbox's Internet service and to any other of the user's computers and devices with the Dropbox client
-shared dropbox: work together with friends

u can use it for syncing handhistory/universtiy stuff/etc on ur laptop/pc
it basiclly saves a lot of time because you dont have to download the same stuff twice,

if you use this link you also get extra free 250mb(i get 500mb, you can refer friends too)
http://db.tt/Imhz6CW

if u dont want to use my refer u can get it at dropbox.com
if you already have a account you can get more free space here https://www.dropbox.com/free (only 5x^128mb)

Also u can install the Beta and use the new camera import feature to get up to 4,5gb of new storage(“The free space is yours to keep (not just for the beta period)!”
step1: get Beta installer

step2: take usb stick(needs to have 5gb of free space), create DCIM folder
step3: download this http://www.x-2-1.de/IMG_1559.rar (its a dummy img)
step4: extract it in dcim folder, then replug the usb stick in ur pc
step5: use new import dropbox feature(u have to have autorun on)
step6: wait til import is finished, then delete the image from the Camera Uploads folder
step7: enjoy free 4,5gb, buy me a beer

Offhand I don't know which software would convert to flv, but you could upload your video to youtube, then download the file as an .flv file.

To download FLV files from youtube, I use http://jdownloader.org/. Put in the address of the youtube file you want, and it gives you the option of downloading the files as MP4, FLV, just the mp3 audio, whatever. Select the flv file and download.

HTTPS Everywhere is now available in beta for Google Chrome. This has been around a while for Firefox and I highly recommend it.

"HTTPS Everywhere is a produced as a collaboration between The Tor Project and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Many sites on the web offer some limited support for encryption over HTTPS, but make it difficult to use. For instance, they may default to unencrypted HTTP, or fill encrypted pages with links that go back to the unencrypted site. The HTTPS Everywhere extension fixes these problems by rewriting all requests to these sites to HTTPS."

There's no conversion necessary here. DV = Digital Video. It's already digital.

That camcorder should have a firewire port, 4 or 6 pin. That's the only cord you will need.

What's the standard for firewall and antivirus now(for win7)? I have Zonealarm and avira, but it seems like there's some overlap on functionality now. What are people here using?

I use pro software for this but doesn't the free Windows Movie Maker also do this? You will need a Firewire (most likely) cable or USB depending on what your camera supports. Also make sure you get a cable with the correct type of connections on each end.

what are the features you want? are you talking about a place to buy music, or a tool that plays it?

Mainly a tool to play music. iTunes feels slow and bloated so just trying to see what else is out there. If there's something where you can buy and play then that would be ideal. Thanks.

To be honest, I use Google Music and their connector from iTunes to listen to music. Seamless transition from the web, and it works on my Android devices perfectly.
