Hey guys.

Looking to buy a desktop that would be good for streaming on Twitch (So would have OBS, Twitch etc running as well as the game).

Will probably play a variety of games so a decent graphics card probably required?

I am a total noob when it comes to this stuff so any advice on what I should buy is appreciated!

Thanks

Do you want a pre built machine or want to put one together by buying parts?

And it hurts me a ton to say this, as I like Intel a lot, but prolly best to go with a Ryzen CPU if you plan on streaming a bunch.

Also budget?

Pre built... Dont really have a budget. Maybe less than 2k?

Honestly, you'd probably be better off buying the parts and assemble them. It is not hard at all. If you don't feel comfortable doing so, any decentish hardware store will assemble it for you for a relatively small fee.

Have dealt with many setups for streaming and it’s been strictly better to run a 2 PC setup if you want both unhindered gameplay and a smooth stream. That being said my experience with single PC setups is intel based will give you better game performance but not as good stream quality and amd ryzen is flip flopped. If you go i9 or threadripper it’s far more expensive but can nearly mimic 2 PC setups.

I’ve also tried the new el gato pro and really didn’t improve anything and had some serious drawbacks if using a ultra widescreen like a predator. Nvidia with shadowplay is a nice feature, amd has an equivalent but both their cards performance and execution leave much to be desired for bang for buck
