Please help guys keep getting this and can't get into pornhub and a couple other regular sites ... it's killing me! I'm in Asia (not china) and it's been doing this only since I moved to my new apartment. I've googled and tried everything but need more help now. Nothing compares to pornhub guys... I may as well be working with a sears catalogue

It sounds like something weird is happening with your computer's ability to convert from domain names (eg, twoplustwo.com) into IP addresses (eg, 204.232.160.144). This may be deliberate (eg, if several "adult" domains are inaccessible) or it might be accidental.

I think that if you get your computer and/or router to use Google's public DNS, you'll likely fix this problem.

You can follow the directions here to set it up: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns

https://1.1.1.1/dns/ is also a good option if you are not a fan of google.

It sounds like someone is deliberately blocking your internet access. Go contact them, that's not going to be something we can help with.

It must be. Sorry, I'm not that tech savvy, but it does seem that way.

On the other hand, I was hoping there was a way around this that doesn't involve me asking my landlord about porn in a different language.

Maybe VPN is the way to go...

VPN is likely to be your best bet here... assuming VPN servers are also not blocked...

The NXDOMAIN message means your dns server doesn't respond with an ip address for the domain porn hub .com.

The ip for pornhub is 66.254.114.41 (from my region, it may be something else from another region, but this should still work). Check if you can browse to http://66.254.114.41 or https://66.254.114.41 (the latter will give you a certificate error that can be clicked through).

Now, if you are able to reach the website by ip, instead of domain name, you can update your hosts file with this domain-ip mapping (for ex: https://docs.rackspace.com/support/h...ur-hosts-file/).

If you're not able to reach the site by ip, then you should use a vpn or ToR browser.
