I just got pack into play poker. My main desktop that I use for gaming, freelance design work and everything else is what I'm currently playing Pokerstars MI on. Ryzen 3600, 2060 Super, 16GB ram, NVME, etc.
Just kicking around the idea of having a dedicated poker pc to keep everything separate and more secure. I don't have a ton of desk space and putting a normal Microatx tower next to my main pc I'm an inch or two shy of space (and can't really expand much more to the side given the room layout).
So I was looking at picking a Dell Optiplex SFF which are only about 4" wide and using that. I've found i5-4570 models for <$100 shipped on eBay. I have 2x8gb sticks of DDR3 left from an old build an a 120GB SSD I could slide in there. The only thing I'd probably need to purchase is something like a GT710 or other slim GPU as my main display is 1440p and most of the Dell's don't support that over HDMI (want to use the HDMI input on my LG).
I'm not opposed to building something however given the price to performance ratio (sounding like Tech Yes City here
) I think it'd be hard to beat. I do have an AMD FX-8370E, mobo and the above mentioned RAM I could try to find a slim case. I kind of feel dirty as I haven't bought in a PC in 20 years everything I've built.
The only thing I'd be running in the background is Holdem Manager and maybe a browser streaming music from Youtube music. I'm way off from solvers and all this other stuff I read on here.
Thoughts? I'm 4 tabling currently FYI.
