There is a Computer forum under Other Topics on 2p2 which has a number of threads dealing with gaming computer choices.

Hey EViizz. We've had quite a few build/buy threads recently in this forum, I'd suggest looking over them to get a feel for what general recommendations are these days.

Once you've done that, it's very helpful for people looking to help you if you specify your location and currency as well as a budget you're willing/able to spend. If you have a strong preference or requirement for a laptop or desktop, its good to call that out right away. If you can specify what computer you have now, that can help us know what baseline you're coming from.

If upgrading storage in the ~1TB neighborhood, I'd just replace the stock NVME with a 1TB drive and reinstall Windows. Windows key should be stored in the firmware for a modern UEFI system and you can sock drawer the OEM drive to put back in if you sell or gift the system down the road.
Here's a TLC NVME 1TB for $100 USD. Not going to be as fast as a 970 EVO, but will still run circles around a SATA drive, plus it gives you the option of one large volume vs managing storage across C and D drives.

Edit: Adding link to media creation tool to generate a bootable USB to install current Windows 10 build if you replace stock drive.
