Blu-Ray Screencaps on Windows 10? Blu-Ray Screencaps on Windows 10?

I am trying to grab some screencaps from blu-ray discs on Windows 10, but it's an incredible pain in the ass. Trying to see if anyone knows a good way to do it. Here are the methods/software I've tried:

1) Cyberlink PowerDVD - this is great blu-ray software, but it prevents the use of the "snapshot" functionality for commercially-produced blu-rays (I am trying to get screencaps of movies and TV shows that I am in, so naturally, they are commercially produced). PrtScr function just results in a black rectangle.

2) VLC - doesn't have blu-ray capability unless you download a couple files. I followed all the instructions for KEYDB.cfg and libaacs.dll and it still doesn't work.

3) Leawo Blu-Ray Player - it works, but it's not very good, mainly because you can't go frame-by-frame, which makes it very hard to find the right spot for a screencap.

I have online digital copies of most of the movies, but the video quality doesn't seem to be quite as good (I'll try again, maybe it needed to buffer more or something) and I run into the same issue as the Leawo player.

I also tried a couple other things. Downloaded something called DVDFab Passkey which is supposed to bypass the copy protection, but the "lite" version hasn't worked yet and I hesitate to try one of the three uses of the regular trial version in case I strikeout there, too (it's like $50 or something to buy the full version). I know I could also rip the blu-ray, but that's also a pain and takes up hard drive space.

I'd really love to get VLC to work, as it's free and it's good software, but I just can't get it going. Any thoughts?

Correct. I tried to use it with Cyberlink, but Cyberlink knows I'm trying to use it and sabotages me.

So far, my best option as far as the combo of picture quality and ease of snapshotting is Leawo. The biggest problem there is the inability to go frame-by-frame/super slo-mo. Quickly pause/unpause/pause is rough. There are also annoying ads in the free version, which isn't a big deal.

I keep finding the same instructions online to get VLC to work, but it doesn't work for me.

Just tried my online library at Google Play movies and it's not horrible. Can play at 1/4 speed, which is helpful. I feel like the picture quality isn't as good, though, even though it's supposedly 1080p. Maybe I'm just seeing things (or not seeing them, as the case may be). Doesn't have a built-in screencap function, which would obviously more convenient.

wtf - I just looked at my digital copy of Avengers: Infinity War (I got it on Black Friday and only now just opened it and redeemed the code) and it's only 720p? Oh well, who really cares.
