I have used a well-known antivirus and security product for two years. I have played on two different poker sites for two years and never had a problem. Now one of those sites has rolled out an update and my software is blocking it. I don't remember the exact wording, but the error message included the word "update."

I tried the usual methods to solve a problem. I rebooted everything. I contacted site support. I deleted the site using Revo Uninstaller on the Advanced setting, then I tried to download it. The download was stopped while the update was running.

Here is my question: How do I add exceptions to my security program? They want me to give them a URL and I have no idea what that would be. Obviously it's not simply the URL of the poker site, since that was not an issue for the last two years.

All help is appreciated.

EDIT: I tried the download again and there was a URL in the error message. I typed it into the exceptions list but nothing changed.

Why is everyone so secretive with their questions? You have a well-known product that's yours and it doesn't work with some site.

You tried what usual methods?

Who is they?

What kind of computer do you have?

Operating system?

What virus program?

What site?

The best anyone could say is it sounds like your virus program is junk or your poker site is bad news.

There's a sticky above. Contained in it is this line: Describe the problem with all relevant details.

If you really trust the poker site, just disable your AV temporarily while updating the poker thing

False positives are not particularly unusual when it comes to poker site updates.

And if you don't trust it quite that much... just wait 24 hours or something and it'll be sorted out.
