I have a macbook pro retina, High Sierra and an iphone 6s (ios 11.4.1). Trying to airdrop from phone to macbook.
from my phone when I try to ship a file out via airdrop, I can see my wife's phone/ipad just fine so clearly it's working.
From the macbook, I can also see my wife's devices.
my devices just won't see each other via airdrop.
they're both signed into the same icloud account, both are set to airdrop with "Contacts only" and both are on the same wifi network and have bluetooth enabled.
From the macbook, in bluetooth preferences I can see my phone. from the phone, in bluetooth settings I can see the macbook. They aren't paired, but they shouldn't need to be, right? neither device is paired with my wife's ios devices.
I googled a couple of airdrop troubleshooting pages and tried everything, but everything they suggested I already had configured correctly.
any other suggestions?
This isn't a huge crisis, I can just move files via dropbox, it's just more annoying.
