Hello all.

Trying to troubleshoot this and I cant figure it out.

I currently am using a 4k TV as my monitor and it is stuck at 30Hz refresh rate.
Every time I try to up the refresh rate under settings, I lose signal.

Current resolution is: 3840 by 2160, True Color (32 bit), 30Hz

I am using the HDMI 1 (ARC) port on the TV. I have the input set to HDMI 2.0
I have Game Mode "On"

Seems like I have covered my bases and it should work. Should be able to get 4k 60Hz with this set-up.

I am also currently having a random glich where it seems I temp. lose signal from computer to TV for like 1-2 seconds and it returns. Wasnt sure if getting it to 60Hz would fix that issue as well.

Thoughts?

do you have a display port adapter you could try from the gfx card?

i feel like i had a similar problem before with mine, and that worked. did you try newest drivers? it looks like everything should work tho..

I currently do not.

Me and ionutd have been chatting about it and that was about the only thing they could think of to try that I haven't yet.

Yeah, new computer. Update the driver just the one time.

Bios is updated.
Went through all the settings on the TV. Tried tons of stuff on my computer. Nothing worked.
Might try the adapter and/or make a thread on Tom's Hardware maybe.

im pretty sure that worked for me, but idk why its necessary.

what mine does that is strange, is sometimes waking up from sleep, the tv will decide image not supported, or whatever the message is, and show me nothing. i found that instead of having to restart, if i open display settings and toggle "play hdr games and apps" it wakes right back up, and i turn it off to make the colors right again. doesn't seem to happen at any consistent rate or reason.

i assume you tried all the hdmi ports on both ends? does it show 60hz at other resolutions?

Just ordered an adapter. Coming Friday.

Yeah, only works at 30Hz, any port.

As soon as I try to go higher, TV loses signal from computer until it reverts back to 30Hz.

Just got home a tried the adapter and it worked! Woot.
