Thinking of changing my set up completely.
I'm interested in buying a laptop/notebook that I can play online poker when I'm sitting at a live game.
I was looking at the 2in1 notebooks (surface book 2) etc.

Will one of these work for poker and run holdem manager and poker site (and not the app version)? and will the touch screen work for poker?
If it works I can hook it up to my monitor for home use also and sell my current PC.
Any other recommendations?

At a home game or in a card room? Either way people will hate you.

With touch screens one of your issues will be resolution. How many tables do you think you'll be playing?

only when I'll be playing live games.
just feel bored when playing live and think it will be +ev to play online.
would only be playing 3-4 tables I think to keep up to playing live at a normal speed

A decently specced Surface Laptop will do what you want. Or rather, if you are looking to 4 table with a HUD, the vast majority of laptops will do the the job. Questions begin once the number of tables increase to a decent number. So, if you are going to be playing a lot of tables at home, a decently specced Surface laptop will do the job. Think i5 and above. Look also at the HP spectre 360.

the surface just seems too expensive to purchase.
I'm now considering HP Spectre x360 or the Lenovo Yoga 920.
I'm not sure what's best for poker though. The HP has a bigger screen but the Lenovo has a better battery and Intel Core i7-8550U 1.8G instead of Intel Core i7-6500U...…. can't decide on it

The 8th generation i7 is going to be far better than the 6th generation one. Again, it depends on how many tables you play though, as after a point, you re more likely to find bottlenecks with the GPU or memory. If you can, get 16Gb of RAM.

the Lenovo is a lot cheaper so my plan is to keep my main set up as is and just use the Lenovo for playing live games or if I feel like playing on my Lenovo in sitting room or in bed etc. so 8GB and 516ssd should be plenty for this I'm thinking
