Need help in a philosophy of education class. Was asked this question:

How would Kant feel about Scheffler's views on moral education and democracy?

I answered that Kant would disagree with Scheffler's views. I believe that Kant's rigid, disciplinarian attitude would conflict with Scheffler's view of liberating the mind.

Any thoughts?

Sorry, I thought you'd get a chuckle out of that.

Is there a specific Kant reading that you're going off of? That "rigid, disciplinarian" description of Kant does not sound particularly accurate or relevant. Link to Scheffler please?
