Is there stuff we can't see? Is there stuff we can't see?

How do we know the universe if not full of stuff so small we cannot see?
ie much smaller than atoms electrons etc?
As we could never see or feel it we would never know it was there.

Gravity.

Yes that could be made of stuff we cannot see, however as it is a force and we can already detect it I am not sure it qualifies.

Basically what i am saying is before we discovered atoms nobody knew they existed, however we knew the things they made existed.

I suppose I am thinking more of a an invisible 'ether'.

If it's undetectable then the hypothesis that it doesn't exist is probably simpler. So Occam's razor says we should prefer that one.

Allow me to rephrase.

It might not erect a gravitational force.

sounds like phlogiston

I think in nothing there is infinity. The universe is pure proof of this.

This.

Perception is reality. Observation is what creates. So we assume with that stupid scientific logic that because our observation is finite, then so is everything else. When that cannot be so because the universe is there.

There is one thing I can't see: OP ever making a big scientific discovery. See other thread for details.

lol op you must be higher than me right now your question answers itself, " is the universe full of things we cant see?" YES atoms, electrons, sub atomic particles, etc L.D.O

Yes, if you make up magical qualities of magical substances then it would be possible that we couldn't detect that stuff without magic.

Was there an actual point to this discussion, or are you simply trying to win a bet to get the most locked threads in this forum?
