I enjoy layman physics, and this debate panel was absolutely fascinating. Long, but highly recommended. Make some popcorn, sit back, and get ready for your mind to explode.

You can expect ~10 episodes, I'm transitioning right now into The Feynman Series... the internet is pretty tired of Sagan right now (unfortunately).

1 hr show from back in the day... psychics vs the skeptic (randi)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...61545794100028

its actually very good. i find it strange how they let both sides have their way. one minute randi will be saying anyone who thinks this esp stuff is real is a ******, then the next minute there will be an esp test on the screen with a 1-900 number to call to see if you have mental powers. It seems weird but at the same time entertaining.

How far away is the closest galaxy? The thing about the universe expanding means we will probably never discover others forms of like right? Except maybe in the Milky Way?

Its actually harder to do than you think it would be. One thing I found is that if you focus your eyes on a random place, for instance, the top-middle of the youtube video screen, and only use your peripherals to see the colors, you can go much faster.

I'm surprised i didnt find this in here already: Feynman 'Fun to Imagine'

there are a several short clips from the series like this one on youtube; it's always Feynman explaining the physics/chemistry behind everyday things such as rubber bands or fire in layman's terms, and it's not as boring as that sounds because it's Feynman.

That's the best known of these clips because it trascends the subject (magnets, how do they work?): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMFPe-DwULM
