Re: SMP Life is Being Drunk -Random Content thread

Today, at 71, I had to deal w/ a first! Two baby frogs and one (presumably) mommy frog in the pool. Problem is that some of these frogs have a hallucinogenic secretion as a defense mechanism. I snatched one baby w/ a broom and dust pan and tossed it over the fence. The gardener showed up just in time to snatch the other baby and he flung it over the fence. Problem then was mommy had disappeared and I had to deal w/ her later by myself using the pool cleaning net. Mommy was smart and dove for the bottom so it was back and forth for a while but I got her in the end.

Question, tho: Do mommy frogs only give birth to two baby frogs? I'd like to think that the entire matter is resolved.

Good. Let the wild pigs finish them off.

Andy licked one of the hallucinogenic ones about a year ago. It was if he'd swallowed an earthquake. I rinsed his mouth out and it took maybe 20 minutes for him to recover. Don't want any more of that.

Not pigs, btw. We have Javelinas:

Damn things are a nuisance when they come by. Knocked over my garbage can 3 times so far.

Re: SMP Life is Being Drunk -Random Content thread

Peccary (Javelina) [family Tayassuidae (New World pigs)] The Peccaries are medium sized, even toed ungulate mammals. Today there are four living species of peccaries, found from the southwestern United States through Central America and into South America and Trinidad. Collared peccaries are known as javelinas. A second species is the White-lipped peccary (Tayassu pecari), which is found in the rainforests of Central and South America.

The third species, the Chacoan peccary (Catagonus wagneri), is the closest living relative to the extinct Platygonus pearcei. It is found in the dry shrub habitat or Chaco of Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina and Southern Brazil. A fourth species, the Giant Peccary (Pecari maximus) was recently discovered in the Brazilian Amazon.

Peccaries are similar to domestic pigs only they cannot be tamed due to their aggressive nature and are likely to cause injury or kill humans. The word javelina is a Spanish word meaning ‘javelin’ or ‘spear’ as they have razor sharp tusks. Peccaries are not members of the rodent family or the pig family.

I will be listening to a lecture series on Numbers.

Perhaps I can learn what a NUMBER is and/or is NOT.

I'm on pins and needles, similar to the way I feel whenever I reread The Book of Revelations.

Screw them. Shower of drunkards, attempting to cope with the
consistent dread and misery of everyday life and weather using alcohol as the default coping mechanism. Although, recently learned, 30 years later as per normal, that cocaine can be converted to crack with some basic household items which is another escape option.

Never visit and tell everyone the same.

It does contain a county called Kerry. Which, if i must be objective here, just may be the most naturally beautiful place in the world, subjectively.

That isn't to say you should go out of your way to visit there though. Be a douche instead and visit the Eiffel tower or Colleseum. That way, when your expectations are undoubtedly unmet, with a vain attempt of forcing happiness, you have a cuisine to fall back on, which involves potatoes as well, maybe.

However, as the proud Irish Roman Catholic, atheist, alcoholic, high functioning, used to be heroin smokier, until the recent drought caused by the Taliban takeback, crackhead with red hair and freckles, and one small dick, slowly and rightfully losing your religion, or what infantile nationalism, you have left.. you wouldn't want to be born anywhere else. For if you weren't, born here, you'd have to have the luck of the Irish.

But forget that now as it is time for an advert and a song. 114k views. Life is unfair

This is a gritty, cool movie, not too many have seen, I'd wager with a great cast.
I'd call this a coincidence at mimimum, except i posted a scene from this film
in a thread, the premise of which was to simply post movie scenes, which makes the narccisist in me, rather believe I directly influenced you to watch it, and if not reminded you of it at least. There's another possibilty too. But don't give it away.
The greater concern right now, is why that thread was deleted from public view. Are we running that low on disk space around here.

Yeah. 10 weeks of French protests no one sees on the news. Then just like that in Italy, boom. How'd you like that.

Don't come here please. I know you are. I didn't just fill in an application form. I made my decision. And i will die on this hill.

I visited rural Co. Clare twice, Mac. I had a Luddite friend who lived there. We drove through the Burren to visit the Cliffs of Moher, but there were a lot of insects flying around that day. I think we stopped off for a pint in Gort on the way back. Different world.

Drinking half a bottle of Paddy and howling at the Moon in the middle of nowhere. Good times. Except none of it was good.

Oh yeah? Clare is nice. Lahinch and Doolin, I had some great sessions. Killkee is fillled with the worst kind of people from my county next door so i don't visit the beach there much.

Same with Ballybunion in Kerry, unfortunately. So i'd go Castlegregory instead for its two pubs, have a ball in a tiny village, camp illegally on a sand dune. Dingle, forget about it. Great craic. Moving up the coast to Galway, where bars get a little more sophicated. Salthill, a great beach there. A boat over the Arran Islands where untouched by the Brits still speak Irish and another fun time on the island with its one copper lol.

The weather though. We don't have. Roll on global warming.

Depends how you look at it. Flying from Stansted to Shannon was remarkable. England is a faint yellow, and Ireland is a lush green, green, green.

Re: SMP Life is Being Drunk -Random Content thread

Every foreigner i talked to remarked on that, comparing it to their concrete jungle

It got me too the first time
flying back in.

I did catch a glimpse of the Dutch coastline flying in this time, some fields and windmills.

Flying into Spain gets me everytime. The swimming pools, golf courses, football stadiums.

Which reminds me. My nephew has never seen stars in the sky. Remember them. Light pollution robbed his childhood if you ask me. But I digress.
